A couple of minutes driving from the wonderful beaches of Belle Mare and Palmer beach, this is a great place to enjoy the best of Mauritius in a far more economic way. We had a spacious bedroom with private bathroom and a little kitchen where we could cook our own meals, But Shanti Nivas is a lot more than just a place to stay, this is a place where you feel like home. The host, Mr. jay is a one of a kind master host. He does everything to make you feel at home, and soon he became a friend. Don't expect a 5 stars resort by 1/10 of the price you pay for it in Mauritius, but you can certainly expect a 10 times better service. Thanks Jay, you're the man and you have built a quite unique concept in Mauritius by allowing everyone to have the possibility of visit the wonderful Mauritius with a limited budged. I cannot recommend enough your place to anyone who always dreamed to visit Mauritius but couldn't afford the extremely expensive hotels.

Downstair has the friendly owner also a supermarket which is good and cheap. If you come with public bus, the bus stop is only a few minutes walking, also within 30 min you will be in one of the best beach in Mauritius.

They were so nice with our kids, they helped us in contacting the.airport abd they also helped us with the shopping. It was like staying with family, we felt so lucky and grateful. Food, location and room were amazing. Thank you for everything and sorey it took me long to write this review. We will never forge how nice you were with us.
