The location was good and the rooms were lovely, there were also kitchen facilities on the last floor that everybody could use. The host was wonderful, very polite and helpful. She found solutions to everything that we needed, from the beginning, with our early check-in, and everything else, including the fact that she managed to bring a big mirror for us, that we needed for dressing up for the wedding we went to (the actual reason for our visit there).

The view over the Danube is nothing short of magical — peaceful, panoramic, and ever-changing with the light. The heated pool was a dream. No matter the time of day, it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings. It felt like having our own private spa with a river view. The accommodation itself is elegant, cozy, and incredibly well-kept. Every corner was thoughtfully designed to feel both luxurious and homey. We truly didn’t want to leave. The hosts were kind, responsive, and made sure everything was seamless. You can feel how much care has been poured into this place. If you’re looking for something special — a quiet escape with stunning views and pure comfort — this is it. Already counting down the days until we can come back. ❤️☀️

Spacious room and bathroom , great water pressure, comfortable bed, view towards the Danube . Great value and great find for families that would like to explore this beautiful area. We spent 2 nights at this accomodation and we loved every minute of it. Owner very attentive at check in, left the rooms open and messaged us , as we got delayed driving in. The property features a huge open deck which has a fully equipped kitchen complete with lots of fridges, a pool, and plenty sun loungers. You can do everything there: cook a meal, take a dip in the pool or in the Danube, or just kick it back, knowing that a cold drink is always at hand. It also has a geographical feature that I find quite charming: the sun rises twice! (like at the Double Rise) Once at sunrise, when you begin to see, and then when it rises from behind the mountain opposite over the Danube. Given that the sun is higher up when it comes out proper, I've seen some of the most amazing "golden bridges" ever. All the rooms have balconies facing the river, and an other useful thing is that the parking lot is right out the door, so you can have your car as a quasi extension of your room, which is quite useful. The host is the best of the best. He treats every guest as a friend, and would go above and beyond for you to have the best experience possible. There are so many wonderful things to see and do in the surrounding area, and he is a treasure trove of information.

We had a great stay at Pensiune Onyx. We loved the location and the view from the room, the facilities (everything is new and modern), the patio was very nice. The staff was very friendly, we even ordered a bottle of wine from the bar and the lady who was running the property set it in the fridge in our room, so it was waiting for us cold once we got back from a walk in the area :-) Will definitely stay here again if we return to Clisura Dunarii.
