NetherlandsThe hosts were lovely and extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful time, it could not have been better! The garden is beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Additionally, the food in the restaurant was very good and clearly prepared with love and care.
For people exploring the south of Tunisia (and birds or other wildlife), the location is great - supermarkets and tank stations nearby in Kebili - while the Sahara, mountains and salt lake are all within an hour drive. I cannot recommend this place enough, and when we return to Tunisia we will for sure visit Dar Barka again!

We loved the place. The last property before the desert, we came and there was wind starting to blow so could not go for long in the desert but still the stay was worth it. Mohammed is an amazing host, very nice, open and with attentions. We would definitely come back there if we want to stay longer in the desert.
