Το A Touch of Zen έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα και μπαρ, στον προορισμό Καοσιούνγκ. A Touch of Zen is a fantastic place to stay in Kaohsiung. It was our first time in Taiwan and neither my partner nor I speak Mandarin so it was especially helpful that the hosts are fluent in English. They provided maps and answered questions about things to do in Kaohsiung (which there's a ton - it's a great place to visit). The guesthouse is conveniently located within walking distance of the Lotus Pond and the surrounding temples - a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride or taxi to the High Speed rail station (which of course gets you easily to Kaohsiung from Taipei). If you love film A Touch of Zen is a special treat because the tasteful Japanese decor (the building is a former naval home - traditional Japanese construction) includes some fun film props - and the chance to watch something on Netflix projected in the common area. While we were there the hosts kindly set up a movie for us to watch. The area of the guesthouse itself is great to walk around with wonderful places to eat close by. The beds are comfy with tea and water at your disposal. All around a wonderful place to stay.

We enjoyed it as a family of 4

Το Start Hotel βρίσκεται σε καλή τοποθεσία στον προορισμό Καοσιούνγκ και προσφέρει κλιματιζόμενα δωμάτια, κήπο και δωρεάν WiFi. What a great place. I arrived from Kaohsiung airport quite late and after checking in was closed. But I was still able to get in. The hostess had contacted me to let me know where the keys to my room were, unfortunately I didn't have internet so I couldn't see her messages. If you find yourself without internet and in the same situation as me, just look around in the first floor and it should be good (be sure to tell the hostess in advance if you are arriving late). I had a good sleep, in a nice small room. It was cosy, and was great for one person. My card was not working propperly (due to an error on my end) but if you can pay in cash then all works great. Wonderful hospitality, and it's a great place to stay if you want to visit Kaohsiung or you just need a place to stay for the night. Would 100% go back if I am in town again.
