We had the best stay in this hostel. The room was spacious (we had a private room) and the staff are exceptional! They would do literally anything for you. They go out of their way to make the guests feel so welcome. Thank you Tatiana and Fabian, you made our stay unforgettable.

This is a little gem in the center of San Gil but just far enough to find some peace and silence. From the moment we made the booking Lorena was present on whatapp helping us out with all the questions we had. When we arrived after a long day of traveling we enter in an oasis of hospitality. Nothing was too much! They even went to the supermarket to get me a cold beer!! Our room was cozy and silent. And the communal space full of plants and seats and hammocks and it’s great place to chat with the other guests and to share experiences. Morning, afternoon, evening… Lorena was always present to make bookings for us and to help us make the most of our days. Went we left after 5 days she even got up at 5u to wave us out. It truly felt like we have spend time with a friend. Truly a little gem!! (Upstairs they have a place where you can dry your clothes after water activities.)

Cozy room, comfortable bed, hot shower! Close to center, restaurants and also not far away from Terminalito. The team was wonderful, very kind, they even arranged tours. Paragliding tour highly recommended. Thank you all for making my stay in San Gil so wonderful.

Lovely chill hostel with everything you need and more. The staff are all super friendly and happy to help in any way they can. At check-in they provide you with a map that contains all the information you will need for your stay, including all activities available in the area, what to do and see in local towns and how much each activity costs. Your only worry then is, how to fit all these activities into your stay and the staff are more than happy to help you make a plan. All the facilities were cleaned daily and they even provided good quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash in every shower room. Wonderful place, wonderful people and one amazing adventure in San Gil.

Tatiana was super helpful during our stay. She was always so cheerful and tried hard to communicate with us, in spite of our poor Spanish skills. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. Breakfast included tasty bread and on our last day areppas, prepared in "Santander" way. Delicious! The entire staff helped us confirm our rafting trip and gave us excellent directions for traveling to our next destination. Location is good for getting to either the super swanky mall or centro downtown. Everything is good at Meraki!

Lovely family run hostel/guesthouse for a brilliant price. The staff were so friendly and eager to help, despite the language barrier. It's in a great location in San Gil, just a straight walk to the main plaza. The entirety of where we explored in San Gil felt safe, even in the evenings Everything was spotless, the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The pool was a great addition to cool off in. The bed was comfortable if slightly creaky. Good strong fan in the room. The hostel has an abundance of friendly animals to meet as well, including 3 dogs who were always so excited to see us return, a cat, 2 tortoises and goats. We would have loved to have stayed longer at the Green Door in San Gil, but unfortunately had already booked our next stop. San Gil itself if a great laid back city in the mountains. There are a lot of adventure sports on offer, but also plenty of opportunities to slow down. Highly recommend visiting.
