This is an exceptional hotel, beautifully and lovingly furnished and kept in immaculate condition. We were made to feel welcomed and a bit fuss was made of our dog. Breakfast was delicious with fresh, home-grown and locally sourced ingredients. We can’t wait to go back!

The breakfasts were amazing! We were so pleasantly surprised at the bright, open breakfast room and the offerings. Our servers were locals and recommended both destinations for travel (Tenby was amazing!) and local restaurants. The spot is rural, just 3 miles from Hay-on-Wye which is a beautiful booksellers town. Amid the Welsh countryside which is full of gorgeous views and ancient castles. Unforgettable. The room and facilities were clean and modern.

Very clean and comfortable. What I would describe as a really neat space. Had everything we needed. Host was very accommodating - our arrival time was later than we planned so I was concerned about causing any inconvenience, I messaged ahead as soon as I could and was very reassured.

It had everything i needed and very friendly hosts. Small room but even a chair and little table. Coffee/tea caraf water. Very small bathroom but very good shower. Breakfast excellent. 15 minutes walk from Centre.

The host was very welcoming& friendly and even offered us some chicken casserole on arrival! The whole place is beautiful especially the bar area, the room was very cozy and inviting and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was gorgeous too! Will definitely be returning!

Food was fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely ambience about the Wellington and I will definitely stay there again if I return to Brecon.

Property was very clean and rooms decorated to a high standard. Staff were accommodating and friendly. As I was a grooms man for a wedding close by I had to find a time to slip away to check in. Only time I could find was at half 2. A quick phone call to reception and explained the situation. They managed to get me checked in and away by 2.45 great service. Breakfast was lovely and had a good range of food.
