The owner was amazing, we immediately felt like at home. He helped us with planning our trip and gave us food and water even tho it was not included in the price. We had a great time. The room was beautiful and the place is near a town and highway. But still very peacefull at night! Thank you so much!

The location, friendliness of owner, quietness of the location, and the breakfast were all exceptional and better than I had expected. The owner gave us good advice as to what to see and where to go, and even when departing and we told him where to we were heading, he recommended a restaurant to us which we visited and were super please with.

On the West bank of the River Shannon, Shannonside House is set within large, private gardens. Guests can enjoy home cooking and free parking, and Athlone's centre is a 5-minute walk away.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The lady explained everything to us. It was a pretty big and clean room with a nice garden view. It’s very close to the city centre and it is very quiet. It was a bit unfortunate when I found out that this bed and breakfast had no breakfast! But altogether we had a very pleasant stay.
