Perfect location for our road trip to the coast, easy check in process, great to have cooking facilities but eating out options close by, comfortable room, great shower and we were lucky to have a view of the sea and fells.

What a special place! Such lovely people and they upgraded my room on arrival for free, which was wonderful! The breakfast was fantastic and had a great selection of hot and cold things. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and I saw the aurora right from my porch!

This place is absolutely fabulous. We unfortunately had terrible weather when we arrived here, and were even stuck there for an extra day. We had to rebook an extra day and the staff was absolutely welcoming. Our addition day was arranged and they also helped us plan the next stretch of our drive because of the weather conditions. We were a big fan of the breakfast here: just amazing! On the second day, we also tried their elaborate dinner, which was no short of a WOW. My wife and the rest of the family who joined us are vegetarians and they too had plenty of admirable options. So all in all: we enjoyed the stay a lot! Had the weather been a bit supportive, we would have had enjoyed even more…

Kikjufell is close and on the road there is a high elevation parking spot where really easy to spot whales with binoculars. gas station and fish and chips little street food vendor is next door. And it has a sandy beach behind the wave breaker rocks.

I would say this is one of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed. Everything was super clean, friendly staff, well equipped kitchen with a nice view, leisure room available, comfortable beds, clean and big bathrooms, parking available. Also, from an architectural point of view, the house itself has a good layout - each room does not have a common wall with neighbour and it is separated by bathrooms.I strongly recommend this guesthouse to be visited by the owners of other guesthouses - it is a lot to learn from a good example.
