An amazing place to stay for a vacation in Yakushima. The location is spectacular with a sea view, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The owners of the hotel are charming and help with everything we need, they helped us perfectly in preparing the visit to the island. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Yakushima to stay at Pension Luana house

The owners of la Isla tasse are amazing. They readily give you recommendations of the trails to do on Yakushima, the busses to take, the restaurants around etc .. Once I missed the bus and the owner drove me to the place without hesitation. He also drove me to a place where I could rent gear for my hike. The atmosphere in the house is quiet but you can easily get in touch with the other guests and talk to the owners in the large living room on the ground floor. It's very clean and the owners give the place a personal touch by putting little flower bouquets in the bathroom etc. The breakfast can be booked additionally and is very nice! They don't speak much English but use Google translate effortlessly. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back.

The cosy, family feel of the place made my stay in Yakushima. The lady running the place was so nice and she prepared Onigiri for guests who had planned hikes on the island, which was really convenient. She also plans your sightseeing with you if you want, as she knows the bus schedules and the different things to see quite well. Met some really nice people at the guest house and shared an amazing hot pot on the last night. Tomarigi made my stay in Yakushima. Also, theres a supermarket about 5 minutes away by foot, which was really convenient.

The location is quiet and beautiful. The view from the room (we had the larger room with the veranda looking out towards the sea) is awesome. The wooden accents of the room made it feel homey and warm. Especially nice to relax after a hike. The owner does not speak very good english but make all efforts to communicate. We appreciate that. Google translate is very useful here. Service is prompt and polite. Added breakfast for 700 yen per morning per pax. The breakfast is japanese style with small portions but many dishes (like 4-5 dishes) and miso soup and rice. Meals are at the main reception building that is separate from the room we stayed. You can also add dinner for another fee (cannot remember how much), which would be good as shops in Yakushima tend to close early.

Hiro is a great host.the common room was nicely equipped and you can get bento boxes and some ramen in the hostel. It is right in the forest, so a beautiful place and in the middle of all sightseeing spots.

A 4-minute drive from the Port of Miyanoura, Minshuku Iwakawa offers affordable Japanese-style accommodation, rooftop barbecue facilities and free-use washing machines. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The little pension is run by a lovely grandma and grandpa. Very welcoming, even though there was a language barrier, as they do not speak English, we managed to get the point across via translation apps. They offer yummy breakfast and can prepare nice bento for you if you ask for it for lunch. The location is great, near the airport, however car is optimal for the best experience. The location of the pension is close to all of the main routes and key activities. We were staying in the private bathroom room and were happy with the facilities.

Everything about this property is amazing! The building itself is all wood traditional rooms with futon beds. The showers are modern and very nice hot water. There is a kitchen where you can make some food and nice common area you can eat and meet the other guests and the lovely staff. All sparkling clean. The staff are the nicest people you can meet and so very helpful! The location of the property is 5 stars, the Isso beach couple of minutes walk behind the property and the river and the green heels in front of the property. The property has some spaces for parking in front of you rent a car.

Great location, perfectly functional AC and bathroom and shower were always clean. Washing machine was clean and worked well I appreciated it much. There was no dryer but since it’s summer clothes got dried out fast anyway.
