Stayed for 3 nights and this was our favourite place during our Sri Lanka trip. Homely feel and amazing food and service. Enjoyed the library and endless cups of excellent tea. Our room was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water. Wifi worked very well in the library area. Tea tasting was interesting and some nice walks in the area. Thanks to Dave and the staff for a memorable stay :)

We had a truly amazing experience here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The food was amazing and the chef made sure the spice levels was too our liking. The pool overlooking the mountains was truly magical and was the icing on the cake for this wonderful property. We wish we had more time here.

Book this place when you wish to see many things in and around Kandy! The owners went the extra mile to make me super happy. He is a safe driver who showed me many places per day in his comfortable car and she cooked fantastic meals for me with fresh herbs and spices out of their own ‘jungle’. They are a lovely and honest family, the best hosts during my world-travel :-) Also: the place is a gem in the mountains, beautiful decorated and with a clean pool. I felt really at home here.

Absolutely outstanding! Here the time stopped 100y ago! They keep as much as possible originally, yes for sure not new and some comfort is missing, but I prefer it like this! Outstanding! Would go to stay again! Anytime

What a beautiful quest house. It is set away from the busy main road and very peaceful. There is a restaurant, which we did not use, so I can't comment, but there was no noise, apart from some soft music,which was quite nice and chilled. The room was very clean, with clean bedding and towels. Staff were very helpful and Friendly. Loved this Lodge. I could have stayed longer just to enjoy the peacefulness. As we are travelling by bicycle, our bikes were very secure for the night.

This was our second stay at Ashburnham Estate, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. Every detail of the experience feels considered, from the beautifully curated interiors to the gentle rhythm of each day. The food was exceptional, and prepared and served with genuine hospitality. Ashburnham offers not just a break from the everyday, but a complete shift in pace. The whole fteam is gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive, and their warmth and professionalism enhanced the sense of calm and care. I travel a lot, and I don’t believe there’s anywhere quite like it, thank you Vish, Daniel and the team! We will return again I’m sure!

The views are incredible. Nice area with shops, nearby the bus stops to go anywhere you want. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner of the place was very friendly and help us with all the things. We feel like at home. The kitchen is there. And Susantha preparing tasty dishes if you'd like to eat smth Sri Lankan.
