Excellent hosts who were kind and helpful 👍😃 Large room which was comfortable and modern with excellent wifi and shower! Overall, facilities were great value. It was more of an air b and b with a kitchen and living room. Good location - walking distance to local shop and train station!

You'll be welcomed here like family members by the incredibly friendly hosts. The place itself is beautiful; right behind the house, there's a wonderful trail through tea plantations. There's a picturesque balcony where a very, very generous and delicious breakfast is served each morning. We honestly didn't feel like eating again until dinner! The hostess prepares various dishes from a menu, and we ate all our meals here. Everything was very tasty, portions were huge, and prices were low. What's more, many things weren't even added to our bill—like salads prepared with main courses, some drinks, coffee, the transfer from the train station, and even laundry. The waterfall excursion was excellent, with places of incredible beauty! This is definitely a spot to stay for more than just a few days; if possible, stay longer. The owner showed us beautiful apartments he's building for families, complete with a loft, a large bathroom, and an amazing veranda. Everything is made from materials with a history, and it's going to be very beautiful and comfortable. (By the way, the construction didn't disturb our rest at all; we only noticed it when the owner took us to the rooftop). If we decide to repeat our trip to Sri Lanka, we'd gladly come back here. We wish Saman and his wife a speedy completion of their project and prosperity for their family business.

We received a lovely welcome, and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. 10 minutes walk from the railway station and 15 minutes walk from Nanuoya waterfall. Great value and we had a really good time. Thank you!

The place is super cozy and clean. The host was a charming old lady, who made sure we feel like at home. Very caring and positive, good cook. There is hot water, easy access from the train station. The owner Kumar was available all the time in WhatsApp, gave suggestions what to do. Watagoda is like heaven, peaceful, calm and beautiful

The room cleanliness and the bed comfort with clean sheets. All rooms have balconies with sitting area and mountains view. All rooms have a private bathroom and shower with water heater. The gentleman and his wife working there were very kind and helpful and will facilitate your stay. The food portions they served are enough for at least 2 people. The morning herbal soup is refreshing, and the dhal curry is the tasties I've ever had. Mostly, I enjoyed the view of the mountains and the tea gardens with the birds chirping in the morning. No room has AC, but you can always open the balconies doors and let the cold, fresh breeze circulate in. Temperature at night reaches 15 deg C.

From the beginning we were met with kindness and warmth, the host brought us home made cup of black tea, fruits and teacake, it was delicious. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. No mosquitos and other unwelcome living creatures. If you wish family provides Sri lankan homade dinner and breakfast for a reasonable price. Dinner and breakfast was served with a lot of love, it was the best rice and curry from our trip in Sri Lanka. Location is surrounded by mountains and 12 min walk to waterfall and 10 min by walk to the train station from there you can easily reach Ella or Kandy-Colombo. The host family is really friendly and helpful. Wifi conection was good.
