This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in in Taiwan - it has real style, is very clean, impressively quiet for it’s central location and the smells of the bakery wafting through the hotel are heavenly. The laundry, kitchen, in-room amenities and very friendly and helpful staff made this a 5-star stay!

Location. Nice room. Complimentary tea and water provided. Good bathroom with nice shower. Close to old street of Jiufen (5mins walk down the stairs).

Everything. The room is nice and pretty spacious for 4 people. The girl who received us was super nice and friendly. The breakfast is also nice too. And the thing we like the most is the location of the house, just follow the instructions and then you just have to walk about 3-5 mins to get to the house without climbing the stairs dragging the luggage.

The ocean views directly from the windows were beautiful. The morning breakfast was simple and light, but since there was so much food in the area to choose from a light breakfast is what you want. The Old Street like a minute walk from the property. So all of the attractions of Jiufen are super close by. Their lobby doubles as a dining area where one night we brought back all of our street food to eat together. I loved this cute hotel and will likely stay in the future when I visit Jiufen.

We loved this place and everything about it. The host is lovely—she gave us many recommendations, ensured we knew what trains to take for our outings, gave us small gifts and goodies, offered to help us get laundry washed, and provided flexibility with check in and check out. All this she did with patience and a smile, even though we could not speak Mandarin and had to rely on translation apps. The location is excellent—walking distance to several buses and trains to nearby Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, Bitoujiao, Keelung, and other great spots. The room itself is quiet, comfortable, and spacious with great lighting. It seems very clean and modern, with nothing out of date and everything functioning perfectly. It is well-appointed and nicely laid out. Guests have access to water, a refrigerator, a tea kettle, coffee, and fast/consistent WiFi. The toiletries and soaps were luxury, and we took note of the shower gel in particular so we can buy it to take home. This place is exceptional value, easy to book and find, and offered us complete privacy and autonomy. The host provided great communication from our initial booking until we said goodbye. Overall we give this hotel our highest recommendation—it was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on our visit throughout the island. The next time we come to the Taipei area, we will stay here.
