The host welcomed me with a bright smile and helpful guidance, making the check-in process smooth and setting the tone for my entire stay. It's rare these days to feel such personal attention and care, but here at GM Homestay, it felt natural, like being welcomed into a family home. The room itself was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated with simple but tasteful design, and filled with natural light. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring the city. The small kitchen setup and washing machine were lifesavers, especially for someone like me who likes the freedom to cook simple meals and manage laundry during longer stays. Every detail, from the high-speed Wi-Fi to the neatly arranged toiletries, showed how much thought the owners put into creating a space that's not just functional, but truly comforting. Even small things like extra towels, good lighting for reading, and a little corner to sit and work made a big difference to me. It’s the kind of thoughtfulness that makes a place unforgettable. The location was another huge bonus — situated in a quiet alley, so peaceful at night, but just a short ride to the bustling city center, with cafes, shops, and local markets all within easy reach. Our stay at Rustic Homestay in Cat Ba was truly lovely. Nhe, Tang, and their adorable daughter welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like part of their family from the moment we arrived. Nhe made it her mission to help us with booking our activities and provided insider tips on exploring Cat Ba. She also had motorbikes we could rent! The rooms were spacious and clean. The homestay is located in a quiet neighborhood, providing a peaceful retreat after our adventures on the island. The homecooked breakfast served each morning was so delicious, offering a taste of local flavors. One of the highlights of our stay was the seafood hot pot dinner prepared by Nhe and Tang on our last night. It was undoubtedly the best meal we had during our time in Vietnam. As we shared stories and experiences with Nhe and Tang, we gained a deeper admiration for the Vietnamese people. Overall, our experience at Rustic Homestay was unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Nhe and Tang. We left with cherished memories, delicious coffee and some tears.
