Everything, from the idyllic location to the room, the staff and food was incredible. The food makes you want to eat here every day. Breakfast is very diverse with use of mostly local products or local (breakfast)dishes. Delicious. Dinner is equally mouthwatering. Wide range of drinks as well. Rooms are modern, large and very comfortable. Then the location. It’s awesome. The views are unbeatable and the place is only a short walk away from the bigger town Vilas das Pombas. The owner and her husband are some of the nicest hotel owners I’ve met. They definately went the extra mile. Highly recommend Kasa d’Vizin.

Το Sinagoga Guesthouse, το οποίο βρίσκεται μπροστά στη θάλασσα σε Ribeira Grande, έχει βεράντα και μπαρ. Exceptionally welcoming hosts. The room was very clean and had an amazing view. Breakfast and dinner were home cooked and provided a good choice and quality of food. The hotel is a short walk from the natural bathing pools and there is easy access to transport to other locations.

Very pleasantly surprised by the tasteful design, impeccable cleanliness, comfort and exceptionally welcoming reception at Alfa Rooms. The view from the (very spacious) terrace was incredible. Bonus points for being able to use the laundry machine!

Superb location, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff ,big comfortable bed and all very clean ! A nice little pool set in a private walled in garden. Very good value for money!

Great location in this cute town - next to some nice places to eat and with views of the mountains and coast. Also in a good location to do the hike to Fontanillas. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the area is quiet at night - with the window open you can hear the sea. Also, a lovely breakfast.

No air-conditioning but still cool by leaving windows open, with the downside being outside noise and a couple of streetlights lighting the room somewhat.

The staff was really nice and Judith helped out in organising a taxi from Porto Novo to the hotel, including an amazing tour through the island. Also we had a great time with Ivone who prepared very nice vegan breakfast. The hotel has a great terrace with a stunning view and the location is very nice.

We had a lovely stay at MeloMar Rooms in Ponta do Sol. The accommodation is very central (about 5 mins from just about everything in town) and is clean and comfortable. We had a huge room with a balcony and a very modern en-suite bathroom. A big benefit for us was also the well equipped shared kitchen which meant we could cook for ourselves on a couple of nights. But the best thing about the stay was our hosts, they were kind and friendly and although they didn’t speak much English and we don’t speak much Portuguese, we made it all work just fine! In particular they helped us out when we got the timing wrong for the morning aluguer to Porto Novo - they phoned around and then went out into the square to help find a driver that was willing to to take us in time for our transfer. Amazing. Thank you - I hope we can come back and stay again some time.
