Το Sinagoga Guesthouse, το οποίο βρίσκεται μπροστά στη θάλασσα σε Ribeira Grande, έχει βεράντα και μπαρ. I travelled around and this is the best place I have stayed on the whole island! The owners make this place a gem, they created a warm local atmosphere and give special care to everything! They even helped me to find my next accommodation when I couldn’t find any. The room feels luxurious and the breakfast and dinner are both delicious. The location gives easy access to other places with the colectivo and a nice refreshing swim at the natural pools right in front. Thank you so much Katia & Jacindo also for the lovely chats - I will definitely be back one day!!

The pictures don't match the real world experience. It easily outperforms most 4 star hotels in Europe - super modern and well thought of. In addition the host is most caring and welcoming. Also it is perfect to do the most stunning hike on Santo Antao, from Cova to Pombas. Just book it, you certainly won't be disappointed. Many thanks to the host!

Superb location, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff ,big comfortable bed and all very clean ! A nice little pool set in a private walled in garden. Very good value for money!

My stay at this retreat in Santo Antão was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and were incredibly friendly throughout my visit. The food was absolutely delicious, showcasing local flavors and prepared with care. Nestled in the middle of the mountains, the location was breathtaking and offered the perfect setting to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this place is a must-visit!

Το Casa Celeste, που διαθέτει παροχές για υδάτινα σπορ, βρίσκεται σε Ponta do Sol. Το κατάλυμα έχει θέα στην πόλη και προσφέρει επίσης βεράντα και 24ωρη ρεσεψιόν. This was a very friendly guesthouse where we enjoyed three nights! We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and the hosts were very helpful in helping us find rides to begin our treks on the island / get back to Porto Novo. Breakfast was filling and kept us energized when hiking.

Spacious rooms, private bathroom, friendly staff and daily breakfast was great. The location was also within walking distance to great restaurants.

The staff was really nice and Judith helped out in organising a taxi from Porto Novo to the hotel, including an amazing tour through the island. Also we had a great time with Ivone who prepared very nice vegan breakfast. The hotel has a great terrace with a stunning view and the location is very nice.

We had a lovely stay at MeloMar Rooms in Ponta do Sol. The accommodation is very central (about 5 mins from just about everything in town) and is clean and comfortable. We had a huge room with a balcony and a very modern en-suite bathroom. A big benefit for us was also the well equipped shared kitchen which meant we could cook for ourselves on a couple of nights. But the best thing about the stay was our hosts, they were kind and friendly and although they didn’t speak much English and we don’t speak much Portuguese, we made it all work just fine! In particular they helped us out when we got the timing wrong for the morning aluguer to Porto Novo - they phoned around and then went out into the square to help find a driver that was willing to to take us in time for our transfer. Amazing. Thank you - I hope we can come back and stay again some time.
