We had 3 nights at Casa de Vie and it was very comfortable there. We even extended for 1 more day. The welcome was perfect and all the services, the room, the house itself is amazing. Maison Manendra is not only a hotel/guesthouse but a whole concept. The rooms are big and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom with a warm water shower. The food is good and portions are generous. You mostly eat at a big table with other guests but if you don't like it you are not forced to socialize. After dinner, Rani and Oussama ask what you are planning to do the next day. If you are planning to do the Bromo walking tour and other guests like to join, you share a car (and the cost of it)... or not if you prefer to go alone. We had the chance to share cars for the Bromo walking tour and for the Tumpak Sewu waterfall and could cut the cost and have a good time with fellow travellers. Rani and Oussama offer solutions for most of your travelling problems: transportation to Maison Manendra from Malang, Bromo Tour without other people around you, tour to Tumpak Sewu with a fantastic guide, taxi to Surabaya... and many more. Rani and Oussama travel a lot in and out of Indonesia and are well aware of what you need during your Java trip. If you are looking for luxury, it is not the place for you. As for myself, I got far more than I expected. Merci Rani et Oussama, c'était absolument super!

The owner is absolutely the best, he caned to pick us up at the train station, he arranged for us a motorbike to drive up to Mount Bromo and he left us leave our bags with him free of charge. He took care of giving us all the good indications on how to ge to Malang by bus and he was always available via WhatsApp if we needed anything. Can’t do better in the area

Recommend if you want a budget friendly, comfortable and near the beach home!

The lodge is great, as well as the host and the food. I truly recommend to book the night within the national park where you will have the opportunity to observe adult turtles laying eggs on the beach at night and at sunset you will release newborn turtles from previous nests. There is a great turtle conservation project in here and it is worth to contribute to it. Lastly, the host, guides and rangers truly care about this park and supporting local populations, this is a must-to-visit place!

Definitely would be back there again. Located in a housing of Banyuwangi kota, which is near by Banyuwangi kota train station and convenient location too. Took about 5-8 minutes drive from station itself and easy way to go Ketapang area. Take a local uber to take you to Ketapang harbour if you would like to cross by ferry ship to Bali. Clean and neat place, comfort room and absolutely friendly owner, you will find a new local's life experience there. I arrived in midnight time and the staff was happy to help, they were really accomodate us. Amazing banyuwangi

The place was near the train station ( via gojek but walking will take 20 mins walk according to google) The place is lovely and surrounded by green plants so it feels more relax and refreshing. The owner was accommodating and ensured we were settled well and also informed us things around banyuwangi. We booked the tour with him (375k) and we were satisfied with the tour and the bike rental was cheap too compare to renting outside (no need to leave the passport as collateral) We loved our room and we have balcony. Though the room needs a little improvement like better lighting and the bathroom. (Note that the bathroom is super spacious which we loved also) In general this accommodation is way better than what we have in other places in Indonesia. Wifi is faster🫰🏾🫰🏾♥️

They helped with everything on my trip - shared car from Bromo to Banyuwangi, and arranged transport for us in Banyuwangi at a very reasonable price. The accommodation was also extremely comfortable and value for money. Loved the cats too
