Jock is a wonderful host, very giving with his time and tips. Made us takoyaki, which was yum!!! Parents found the chairs a bit hard (used to a sofa :) ), but it was fine. Location was fine, ten mins to at least 2 supermarkets and maybe 15 mins to main train station - easy to walk.

Lots of Detective Conan goods displayed as well as the hosts' handmade washi/cloth lamps. Rooms and facilities clean and well maintained. Location is convenient as Detective Conan tourist spots, convenience store and dining options are all accessible by foot. Hosts went above and beyond with their service, including a free optional tea class with sensei as well as transport back to the station at the end of the stay. Thank you for the sweet potatoes for the trip back!

I had to request a late check-in because of a delayed train and the staff at the guesthouse was very helpful. The kitchen and living room were lovely. There was a free washing machine. The bed, toilets, shower were very clean. Highly recommended.
