Gihan and Dinu are two of the most incredible hosts I have ever had. They made me feel so welcome. Gihan picked me up from the bus station when I arrived, and he took me on a city tour with his Tuk Tuk the following day (you don't want to miss this). Anuradhapura has some incredibly rich history, and it was wonderful learning from Gihan and seeing the sites for myself. In addition, I took their cooking class while there, and we went to the market to buy all the ingredients beforehand. We made three different curries (fish, pumpkin, and jackfruit), dal, and coconut roti, which were all so incredible. I would 100% recommend this home stay experience to anyone traveling to Anuradhapura. Feeling very grateful for my time here.

We loved this homestay because: -large comfortable and super clean room. -host was so friendly and super helpful with our transportation needs and logistics -treated us like family -helped organize our sightseeing around town -everyday, tea/juice and cake/fruit were brought to our room during tea time -location was very near restaurants, grocery store, ATMs, beer store -on request, they can make breakfast and dinner -located on a very quiet street with a roof top city view

From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Wilpattu Mookalan Resort, que cuenta con bicicletas gratis, jardín y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Habawewa, a 39 km de Kumbichchan Kulama Tank y a 39 km de Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. La amabilidad de toda la familia es espectacular. Se preocupan por todo. Ubicación fantástica pues está a las puertas del PN Wilpattu. Cena muy abundante, hay que decirle que ponga menos para no tirar comida, pero estaba riquísima.

The best place we stayed at! The room was spacious and clean. Each room has its own terrace, and there’s also plenty of seating in the beautiful garden. Every morning, we had breakfast in the treehouse overlooking the lake. Gamini and his wife are such lovely hosts. He picked us up from the train station, organized a safari and an Ayurveda treatment for us, and took us on a tour to see Sigiriya/Pidurangala Rock and the temples in Dambulla. His wife prepared delicious dinners and breakfasts for us. They always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The Wi-Fi was also good.

The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with great air conditioning and a lovely view of the garden. What really made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality. Kalhara and his wife are truly amazing people – always available, always smiling, and genuinely eager to help with anything. They even arranged a massage and a delicious homemade dinner for us, which we enjoyed under the stars. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine made with love. Every detail was taken care of, and we felt more like guests in a family home than in a hotel. We can’t thank our hosts enough for such a beautiful experience. If you’re visiting Habarana and Hurulu eco park, don’t miss the chance to stay here – it’s a hidden gem filled with warmth, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

Hotel Oleena tiene vistas al jardín y está en Habarana. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de habitaciones, cafetería, jardín y terraza. Jeewa y Masha se encargan que tu estadía se transforme en una experiencia para conocer la mejor de Sri Lanka: su gente. La habitación no sólo era inmensa así como el baño sino que limpios y muy cómodos. Nuestra habitación tenía un deck con sillos y mesa que permitía descansar y ver no solamente el hermoso jardín sino también las ardillas y pájaros que frecuentan ese hermoso jardín. Si bien está lejos del centro de Habarana, Jeewa tiene tuktuk por lo que nos acercó al centro cuando lo necesitamos y también organizó nuestas excursiones.Masha hizo unas cenas espléndidas, muy completas y a muy buen precio. Sin dudarlo, volveríamos otra vez. Nosotros dejamos este alojamiento para irnos a Kandy y Nuwara Eliya en pleno momento del ciclón y Jeewa nos enviaba mensajes para ver cómo estábamos lo que habla de la preocupación hacia sus huéspedes.
