We were welcomed by the host when we arrived in the dark. Karen was standing outside to greet us. We felt very welcomed. The room is spacious and the double bed is very comfortable. Very delicious homemade breakfast at a reasonable price.

Helen is an amazing hostess, she made us feel so welcome in her special home, cooked a delicious breakfast (bread straight from the oven!) and shared lots of great advice for our trip.

The Captain's House está en Akaroa y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, jardín con terraza y vistas al mar. También hay nevera y hervidor. I had a great time at the Captain's House (stayed one night, in the double room). Communication was good. The place is up the hill, with a nice garden and a beautiful view. The inside is nicely decorated, I liked finding a tag with my name on the door of my room. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was great, with home made butter, some jam, bread and... Pancake batter to make my own pancakes. I had a tight schedule but I would have loved spending more time at the house to just relax, that seemed like a perfect place for it. I completely recommand staying here and will do so again if I ever come back to Akaroa.
