We spent a few nights in Can Tho in one of Human's bungalo's, and had a magical experience here. Upon arrival we were seated in the open air dining room and immediately were served cold tea and warm conversation.  After settling in and catching our breath, we were given a tour of the "village" and put our things away in our room.  There are five seperate buildings here.  Each has a bathroom of its own, and although they are not fully enclosed, there is mosquito netting on the bed. Human and his family are a pleasure to spend time with.  We got up early to take a tour of the Cai Rang floating market.  At 630 am, we met Human in the dining room, hopped on the bicycles he provided, and rode about twenty minutes through the winding jungle streets to the river.  From there, we got on a boat, checked out the floating market, walked around another market in town (not floating), and then visited a rice noodle factory for a tour, which included a chance to get involved and perform part of the creative act ourselves!  Upon our return we relaxed for a while before dinner, which was prepared by Human's mother - a great cook!  We dined with some other guests and had a great time chatting with them.  We were also lucky enough to meet Human's son Bill,  who is about 15 I believe - a student, and very charming, pleasant young man.  I can't remember his proper name,  but his nickname Bill is in honor of Bill Clinton, who lifted the embargo against Vietnam in 1994.  How do I know that?  Because Human is a great storyteller and guide.  The buildings were designed and raised by Human his brother, who is an engineer who built the nearby Children's Hospital, which has five hundred beds and I believe is a point of pride on Human's part.

Beautiful nature all around. Big bungalows, with comfortable queen size bed, and ceramic toilet seat. My dog was welcome too. All and all very good place kind of like a jungle retrite. I will definitely revisit this place.

Good strong shower, free water bottle entry day per person, plus a water dispenser in reception. There's a lot of local food and drink places in walking distance. Loved it!

The place is beautiful and authentic, the food was excellent, the hosts are experts of Can Tho, helping you feel and do things like a local. This has been one of my most pleasant travel experiences ever. Tuan, his family and employees are warm, fun and welcoming. The home stay is like a little oasis, with a well maintained pool and absolutely delicious food. It was great eating dinner communally and trying so many amazing local dishes and ingredients. A highlight of my entire trip in Vietnam was going to the land market with Tuan (after visiting the floating markets) and picking out food for dinner. I highly recommend doing this, as well as borrowing the bikes and exploring the streets and rivers of this pocket of the delta. The locals are absolutely lovely, as is the nature around. If you like to be kept very busy, then two nights is perfect - you can do both tours, and take yourself around on the bikes. If you are happy with a little time to relax like I am, then more nights is good! I stayed two but I wish I had stayed three or four to decompress. There are hammocks, the pool, and you can do relaxed little bike rides. I highly highly recommend! And a huge thank you to Tuan and his family, I will forever be grateful to you for letting me into your home.

The hotel is located in a very peaceful place right next to one of the river channel. The manager of the hotel helped me arranged a boat trip to the floating market despite I came late night. She helped me to find and book a better way to my next destiatnation to Phu Quoc Island that saved me the whole day of my vacation. Of cource, the dinner and breakfast were amazing as well as the property of the hotel. I highly recommend to whom want to exerience Vietmnam rural life and floating market.

Thanh Ha Guesthouse has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi in Can Tho. The property can assist guests with arrangements for private Mekong tours. Special diet menus are available on request. We loved our stay with Ms Ha and would definitely recommend staying with her and getting her to do be the guide for your Mekong tour. She was showing us small places other big tours won’t show you and made sure we were well fed along the way. The room is fantastic for the money. The location of the guesthouse is amazing, local coffee shop out front and night markets a stone throw away.

Thanks to the family for sharing such lovely rooms with us. The house is new and beautiful, with an elevator. The dining area has a small kitchen that's fully equipped—with an induction cooktop, microwave, dishes, and even essentials like fish sauce, soy sauce, cooking oil, and a full set of spices. Man, the young host, was super thoughtful and paid attention to everything we needed.
