Everything is very well equipped for sleeping in the room and shared placed for enjoying beautiful Mekong nature. The host Hong offers a lot of activities in the area. They may seem simple but are really authentic and funny and you share them with locals. We went for all of them, then except that Hong arranged for us the local massage and transport to HCMC. We were also riding almost 40km on a bike near river channels so it was great experience and also went to enjoy local home hosted karaoke. Dinner was delicious but more expensive than other restaurants in the area but ingredients were very fresh and host helped us choose and her mama cooked very tasty. We went to the local market to buy them together in the mornings. I think it was really a lot for a three day and definitely worth it. Even Can Tho or Ben Tre so close for one day trip so you can stay even longer.

We had THE most wonderful time at Mekong Pottery Homestay – what a hidden gem to find. Yennie and her beautiful family went above and beyond in the preparation leading up to our stay and during our actual stay. She organised transfers for us from HCMC and was incredibly thorough—every question answered, every detail considered, she thought of everything. You can see how much care has been taken in designing and building the accommodation, which reflects the beautiful terracotta made in Vinh Long. The food her mom cooked was out of this world and one of the best we’ve had in Vietnam so far. The river tour with Henry was another highlight—well-paced, informative, and a great way to experience the local area. Every part of the stay had thoughtful, individual touches that made it feel extra special. Staying at Yennie’s homestay, surrounded by such natural beauty and warmth, was the highlight of our time in Vietnam. We can’t wait to return again one day.

I can really recommend this homestay, as I had such a good time I decided to stay for one night longer than I planned. Oanh and her family are some of the most warm, friendly, hard working people I've ever met, and they treat you with such kindness and hospitality. The family operates a couple different homestays on An Binh, so if she doesn't have room you can ask if her brother or sister does. The house is a beautiful traditional house, and sitting in the hammocks on the porch you can have a chat with her or the other guests, or just relax and listen to birds singing in the yard. I did the boat tour with Oanh's brother and it was a great experience, I've never had fruit as sweet as the longan and rambutan we picked from the trees during the tour. There's bicycles you can borrow to go around the island, and I was also able to rent Oanh's sister's scooter to drive to Sa Dec for a day. Also, Oanh is an amazing cook and her food is the best I've had in Vietnam so far! I told her she should start offering cooking classes too, maybe you can ask her to show how she makes some of the food :) Thank you Oanh and your family, hope to see you again!

Wonderful and relaxing stay in the Vinh Long area. Staff were friendly and wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, they took great care of the guests — thank you, chị Văn! A beautiful place to rest, especially for the glorious Mekong river sunsets. Great value for money. Fruit provided with every meal (the staff will advise you that there is generally a long wait time). Loved the privacy and peace of the river cottage.

Το Nam Thanh Homestay βρίσκεται σε Vinh Long και είναι ένα κατάλυμα με θέα στη λίμνη. Προσφέρει εστιατόριο, κλαμπ παιδιών, μπαρ, κήπο, ηλιόλουστη βεράντα και παιδική χαρά. Very nicely planned property with lots of places for guests to hang out. We booked a Standard Double room but were given a room with 2 double beds. Adequate space to keep luggage and do some unpacking. Good AC (& fan). Clean bathroom. Very nice location - close to ferry from Vinh Long town. Host is an architect and speaks good English. The free bikes are nicely maintained. We loved riding the 2-3 hr loop suggested by the maps provided by the host. Note, some of those paths are narrow, not paved, have a lot of potholes/rough patches. In Mekong Delta, enjoyed this island of An Binh a lot more than Ben Tre or Can Tho due to this bike ride along narrow canals, fruit orchards and rural life. Wish we had booked for longer since it is a great place to relax and wind down. Breakfast (vegan) included bread, banana & pineapple slices along with coffee, jam, etc. To get to Ben Tre, we took 2 mototaxis that dropped us to the Futa 08 bus station. Mototaxi was booked by the host (don't rely on Grab in Vinh Long & An Binh). Loved the fact that you had some privacy and could be left alone, but were also in a homestay!

I enjoyed my stay at Phuong Thao Homestay and on the beautiful island An Binh so much that I extended it to over 2 weeks!  The homestay manager, his wife and sister - who speak very good English - together with the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The homestay is located about 3 km from the ferry to Vinh Long (10 minutes by bike). Nestled within a spacious, beautifully planted garden with lots of hammocks where you can unwind. My room (14) was in a "stone house" and I felt very comfortable in it - it was very quiet there.  Every morning, I was looking forward to the fantastic breakfast - in addition to the daily omelette with bread, you get a plate with different fruits. But the very best part - the different mouthwatering sweets 😋 every day. And to top it all, I could enjoy a swim in the pool surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the lodge that belongs to the homestay. Together, it was a wonderful start to every day :) The island An Binh is a scenic paradise, and exploring it by bike from the homestay was an adventure in itself. Short ferry trips to neighbouring islands and towns add to the charm of this wonderful location. I had a truly memorable time on the island and at this homestay. Upon my next visit, I will undoubtedly choose Phuong Thao Homestay again.
