The hostess was a very nice Japanese lady with excellent English. She even offered us free breakfast, which she made herself and was delicious. The rooms were in Japanese style, with probably one of the most comfy beds we ever slept in. The super clean toilet and bathroom were shared, but since there are only a few rooms, it was no issue for us. The internet speed was excellent.

Very comfy and charming hostel very close to the station. The rooms were larger than I expected and the shared bathrooms were spotless. The highlight of the hostel is the freshly homemade bread the owner makes everyday and leaves to the guests for breakfast or an afternoon snack

We had such a great stay at Backpacker’s House Kamome! We were warmly welcomed by our host who was incredibly kind, always smiling, and really made us feel at home for a few days. As a backpacker herself, she knows exactly what travelers need — the dorm was comfy and really well thought-out, with little things like a multi-port USB adapter, hangers, and cleaning supplies. Plus, she’s always up for a chat, which made the experience even nicer. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the train station, but perfectly located just one minute from Sengen Shrine and the starting point of the Mt. Fuji trail from point zero.

Amazing stylish and clean hostel in modern rustic style. Short walking distance from Kawaguchiko station. The view to the Mt. Fuji is stunning, since it's very close to the mountain. The restaurant is also high class and not too expensive, had one of the best pizzas of my life.

Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows - probably the best ones we've slept on during our entire Japan trip!. Also loved the shower rooms, lots of space! Great location as well. 30 minute walk from the train station and also very close to the lake. They also offer free bikes which was a nice touch!

The location was just a 7 minute walk from the main stop of the lake, with lots of street vendors around and beautiful views of Fuji. The staff were kind, check in was very quick and the room we stayed in was so beautiful, like modern, minimalistic Japanese style. The room overlooked beautiful mountains and rice paddies. I would stay here again.

Extremely clean and near new facility. Rooms are Huge !!!! Wonderful view to wake up to each morning with Mt Fuji in FULL view.....outstanding Better in real life than online pictures. Real accomodation, NOT a hostel.
