Such a beautiful place to stay! Quiet and surrounded by forest. Right at the edge of the lake. Just be advised, the hostel is about 2+km from the town and the beach. The owner is super friendly. He really goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. Free drinking water to refill your bottles. Bicycles to borrow to go into town. Lots of great small additions that make this place really special.

Our stay at White House was absolutely amazing, the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka by a mile. The room was spotless, incredibly spacious, and comfortable. We spent five days here and genuinely didn’t want to leave. The highlight of our stay was the host, who treated us like a family and made us feel so welcome. His hospitality and a big smile were unmatched, and we are truly grateful for everything. Thank you so much for making our stay so special. We’ll definitely be back soon!

The staff were friendly,helpful and their when ever I needed help. The hostel was just the right distance away from town but close enough to the beach. I definitely needed the mosy nets they had over each bed.

The people are so lovely, friendly and helpful. The garden is really nice and peaceful and backs on to the beach. It was really nice to have the option of food too.

Nice guesthouse in a quiet residential area owned by a very nice and helpful family. Short walk to the beach, supermarket and bus station (just 50RS to Galle Fort). The family will go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and have all the information you need. Stayed a week to do some work. Included Wi-Fi was adequate for what I needed, and there was an option to pay a little extra for a fibre data package in case I needed a boost. Strong 4G signal also. Mainly cooked for myself, so only purchased 1 breakfast, but it was very good. Would recommend.

I stayed at Pinidu's hostel for a total of 4 nights. It is easily among the best hostel experiences I have ever had (having stayed at more than 40 in the past few years...). The room/bed/bathroom is spotless. The hosts are extremely attentive to detail- gave me tour of the garden and recommendations about where to visit. Above all, I must say that Pinidu is an exceptional human being. After I left the hostel, I had a medical emergency and contacted him for advice. He exchanged with people he knew and sent a friend to the hospital to personally make an appointment for me as I returned to the city. I stayed again at his place for two more nights while I did more tests, during which he was extremely supportive and sought to help me be comfortable. I cannot recommend this place enough. Especially for people who like a calm environment in nature. Peace from Canada <3

This is a very special place 😊 We remember him with warmth ☺️ It's a very fun and relaxed environment. A wonderful family that accepts you as one of their own. The wonderful garden provides an excellent opportunity to observe animals: squirrels, lizards, mongooses. And very tasty food. Especially the biryani.😋 Ocean across the road.
