Really an excellent place, great value, friendly and helpful staff, the hostel is located right in the middle of Tamel, wich is the touristic neighborhood of Katmadu, there's a lot of people and stuff going on outside of the hostel, still the place manages to have a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, the restaurant is also really good with high quality options, the guys working at the restaurant are exceptional, I'll come back for sure after my trek

I spent a whole day looking for a suitable hostel in Kathmandu. After comparing 6 hostels, I finally chose Birds Nest. It turned out to be the best choice I made. I was attracted by the beautiful courtyard of the hostel at first, as if I was in the nature. Of course, the staff here are also super nice, we greeted and chatted every day. There are also very delicious food here, with local characteristics and reasonable prices.

Staff are amazing, beautiful people! They remember you and answer every question you have. Best shower I've had in Nepal, hot and good pressure. Chilled out social areas with lots of solo travellers around. Comfortable bed and duvet, I slept well. Perfect location to explore.

The staff are dedicated, genuinely kind, and so attentive that they start to feel like family. The premises have been recently renovated, with very clean, high-quality facilities that are constantly improving—all at competitive rates. Located on the edge of Thamel, it’s close to everything but offers a peaceful escape from Kathmandu's chaos. The hostel has everything you need: a nice bar, high-quality yet reasonably priced restaurant and café, and a travel agency, “Dal Bhat Power,” offering professional service and skilled guides. People say you come to Nepal for the mountains but return for the people, and this couldn’t be truer for Alobar1000. You’ll have to experience it yourself. I only wish more people in the world were as wonderful as Tashi, the owner of this hostel.
