Το Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only βρίσκεται σε απόσταση 6 χλμ από Πάρκο Parque Metropolitano la Sabana Padre Chapui και 7,5 χλμ από Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica στον προορισμό Σαν Χοσέ. Stayed twice in this hostel. Definately recommend for girls. It's safe, tidy, well equipped, you have everything you need. Also staff is very nice and helpful. There's self check in in hostel but but they are always in touch when you need help or any info.

Very close to the city center and to restaurants. However helpful, cheerful, cool staff. Very good hospitality and spirit.

This place was much better than the pictures. Very clean, cozy, safe and the host was very kind and always willing to help or give advice on what to do in San Jose. The hostel has common areas to chill, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spot to exercise or practice yoga. There's a balcony with a view to either work remotely or read a book. Rooms are spacious, there are lockers. The location is very convenient to get around town. Truly exceptional.

I love everything about Hostel Gaudys!! Not only it feels like home to me, it's also a very social hostel to meet other fellow backpackers. The staff are super nice, friendly and helpful, always there to help you with any inquiries. The hostel is clean and comfy, it's also close to the supermarkets, city buses and airport shuttle. I've stayed at Gaudys 3 times now and it is the only hostel I will stay when I'm in town! Highly recommend for lovely hostel to everyone. Thank you so much Hostel Gaudys for my amazing stays and experiences! 😘

Το Casa Escalante Hostel διαθέτει καταλύματα με κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge και δωρεάν WiFi σε όλους τους χώρους. Very affordable accommodation. Everything was very clean. Includes a simple but good breakfast. The stuff is very nice and helpful.

Το Chillout Hostel Barrio Escalante, το οποίο βρίσκεται στο Σαν Χοσέ και σε απόσταση 6,1 χλμ από Πάρκο Parque Metropolitano la Sabana Padre Chapui, παρέχει υπηρεσίες θυρωρείου, υποαλλεργικά δωμάτια,... A well run hostel by a “hands on” owner who has put a lot of care in creating and managing the place. Both the owner and his staff were all very friendly and interested in chatting with their guests. The owner actually works the day shift (at least the days I was there) so he was very present to ensure a good stay. There was also staff there 24 hours a day. Chillout Hostel had two common areas. One area was in front of the building (but fenced in and behind the secured entrance gate) and was a nice place to enjoy breakfast or coffee. The second area was in the back of the building (and also enclosed). There were also seven guest rooms, a combination of dorms and private rooms. The social scene was nice, but certainly not a “party hostel.” The common areas (particularly the back common area) and kitchen were closed off at 22:00 to ensure a quiet night. They reopened at 7:00 the next morning. I found the neighborhood to be safe, certainly safer than other parts of San Jose. There were restaurants and grocery stores with a few blocks of the hostel. The hostel was a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the city center.

Το Stray Cat Hostel βρίσκεται στο Σαν Χοσέ, σε απόσταση 8 λεπτών με τα πόδια από το Νοσοκομείο San Juan de Dios και 1χλμ. από το Μητροπολιτικό Νοσοκομείο της Κόστα Ρίκα. Apparently I was a bit too old for the dorm so they let me have a room to myself for just a few dollars more.
