You can receive discounted price at reception if you are interested. Breakfast was simple but fresh and very tasty. Hostel is very pretty, traditional, wooden house and has great atmosphere. 2 common spaces could be used for relaxing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Castle ruins are close, around 20-30 minutes by walk, highly recommended to visit. There is also tourist Kyushu OLLE: Okubungo trail between train stations Bungo Taketa and Asaji. We didn't have time to visit, but looked interesting.

The host family is incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms equipped with everything you need and the commen area is spacious. We enjoyed talking to the hosts and experiencing a traditional japanese room. We really recommend this place and would have loved to stay longer.

The Japanese design was truly eloquent - everything looked effortlessly cool. Perfect for Budget Travelers 🧳 Despite the designer digs, it was incredibly affordable. The kitchen and showers were sparkling clean, and they had all the amenities you could need. But the real star of the show was the café downstairs! The chef whipped up amazing meals, delicious hot drinks, and even transformed the space into a bar at night, perfect for socializing with fellow travelers. Location, Location, Location! 📍 The hostel's central location was another big plus. It wasn't too far from the train station, making it easy to explore Beppu, the "Hot Springs Mecca" of Japan. The beds were comfortable, and the hostel had good facilities, including a common room, although I didn't use them very much. The hostel is in a good location for a lot of Onsen and the hot springs.
