Allamanda Boutique Hostel dispone de piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Galu. I loved everything about this place – the beautiful setup, peaceful natural surroundings, friendly staff, and great breakfast. It’s the best value for money I found (I even extended my stay for 3 weeks!). I stayed in both the female dorm and a standard bedroom and loved both – very comfortable, beautifully decorated and clean. The property is big enough to have your own space but still has a nice social vibe with a bar and games room. It’s perfect if you enjoy peace and quiet but still want to meet a mature, like-minded crowd (not a party place). The Wi-Fi is excellent for remote work and they have backup power during outages, which was a lifesaver. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

The place is super cozy, the garden with the pool is fantastic for relaxing afternoons. The breakfast is lovely and our hosts were very welcoming. It’s a bit of a walk (about 15 min) to the beach but nothing undoable.

The service exceeded my expectations, and everything was well-organized from check-in to check-out. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay. I will definitely come back again!

El Tulia House ofrece habitaciones con balcón y muebles de exterior y jardín con piscina al aire libre y se encuentra a 5 minutos a pie de la playa de Mombasa. La ubicación es genial, tienes tanto la playa como el mall muy cerca como para ir andando. El personal es muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar. Tanto la habitación como las zonas comunes del hostel están muy bien.

BMA Accommodation Centre está en Mombasa, a 2 km de Uhuru Garden Mombasa, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y restaurante. By way of context, the facility is for training marine students, and the hostel business is an afterthought. There are multiple buildings with dormitory-type rooms, and BMA is renting out such spare rooms. When I was there, no students were in the building I stayed in, which probably had hundreds of rooms. The rooms are small, perhaps 100 square feet. The facility is gated and has guards, but the place is sprawling, quasi-industrial in certain regards, and deserted in the evenings after students left. Given its location, guests need to take tuk-tuks or cabs, easy to get, to visit attractions. Within the facility, I had periodic access to two nice swimming pools and the cafeteria. My room had a balcony that overlooked a channel, where boats came and went at all times. For certain travelers, such as myself, the setup is perfect but it is certainly not right for everyone.
