This is a beautiful oasis on the North part of the island of Ometepe. The property is a large piece of land with lots of pretty plants and trees, 2 friendly dogs, and some chickens. All throughout is thoughtfully crafted walkways and living spaces which are very well-kept. The dorm room felt super clean and the beds were comfortable. It is actually incredible how clean it is kept considering it is basically in the middle of nature. The ranch has plenty of hammocks and space to relax! The best part of this place is the couple that owns it, Daniella and Tony. They have a way of making everyone feel at home and bonding the guests staying there. It felt like we had our own little family for the week we stayed. They always made sure we had everything we needed from food and water to suggestions of what to do on the island. Daniella is an amazing cook and we enjoyed many delicious breakfasts of omelettes, fruits, homemade marmalade, etc. And Tony’s banana smoothies made me so happy! Everyone we met there ended up extending their stay, including us. I have never felt so comfortable anywhere I’ve stayed while traveling. This is a really special place where you can feel a little closer to home while being so far away.

I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. In the evening time they had candles everywhere and lights. It was so beautiful. They also have a lookout place where you can see the volcano during the day and stars at night time. It was a super quiet and chill place. They also had kitties which is a big bonus.

Rooms clean and well equipped. Family run hostel and they were very welcoming and helpful. Small restaurant on site with really good food and coffee for a good price. Central location and only 10 min walk from the port.

To be in this beautiful foodforest-nature whilst staying in a hostel. Wonderful workshops. Really liked the people and the volunteers. Just the work that got into this place to offer a self sustainable, green energy hostel. Stayed way longer than expected.

We stayed in one of the new private rooms which had a bathroom. Nice distance from the party on a Wednesday so no issues with sleeping. Staff were super helpful. Easy to rent a scooter at the accomodation to get to all the main sights.

The uniqueness of the hostel is unreal. The authenticity and the little bit of magic that is here makes this place an amazing stay! By far coolest hostel. Having a nice big kitchen and fire pit makes it feel like home. The animals and the fruit trees. The stories about each of the caravans. If your looking for a vibe this is it!

Το B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita βρίσκεται σε Altagracia, σε απόσταση 16 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Ηφαίστειο Maderas και προσφέρει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο... Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

Το El Pital, Chocolate Paradise έχει κήπο, ιδιωτική παραλία, βεράντα και μπαρ, στον προορισμό Balgue. One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed during my visit. You’re really in the jungle, in between the cacao trees with an exceptional view on the lake. All the vegan food I ate in the restaurant was delicious. Also the service was great, I’ve met Engel, one of the receptionists. He was so friendly and always happy to help or give you some tips to discover the island. Very grateful to have met him!
