We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Verandahs Parkside Lodge. Right from check-in we were made to feel welcome. The buildings have been beautifully restored and feel fresh and clean. Lots of small features that make the accommodation feel luxe. Our room was a great size and spotless. Very comfortable bed. Various spaces to unwind. On a rainy Auckland day we felt happy to go back and relax in a nice environment. Kitchen area was clean and well stocked.

Location was great!! Walk down and the Onetangi beach is right there. Super social hostel with many on whv. We played the lord of the rings edition of monopoly that we borrowed from reception and it was really fun! The shared showers were very hot and powerful. The bedroom was warm once we had the heater on. Diego, the manager was so kind!!

Good location, washing and dryers were very good value.(available 24/7) Comfortable pod, Big locker - could fit my 40 litre backpack in well. Friendly staff, A break out area, fridge and kitchen open 24/7 Loved having a physical key for locker and room, Additional sink was helpful to top up water and brush teeth if the bathroom was occupied. There was a kettle in the room. Nice not having to leave the room to go to use the bathroom-bathroom was very modern with shampoo, condition, body wash and a hairdryer

While I didn't utilize the kitchen much, opting instead to dine at the adjacent restaurant, I appreciated its presence and the opportunity it provided for social interaction. These events are perfect for meeting fellow travelers and forging new connections. Last but certainly not least, the staff at Lylo are truly exceptional. Situated in the heart of Auckland, 200 metres from SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre, Metro Adventurer Backpackers features free WiFi access and private parking. It was clean. The staff and manager were very good and helpful.
