Vanessa decided to move from Rotterdam, the Netherlands to the mountains of Mallnitz in August 2018. They moved with their two kids on the 16th of November 2018 to run B&B Pension Edlinger. Dennis, former cabinetmaker owned his own company and successfully ran it for15 years. He always dreamed of living in the mountains. It was Vanessa who found the perfect place for them in Dennis’s favourite village in Austria. Being a fanatic snowboarder and mountainbiker he loves the Angkogel challenges. Vanessa had a wide career of singing, dancing (when she was younger) in her teens and twennies. Having finished university study in Design & Management she changed her career into a managing job to assist several companies in different branches such as Solid Shapes and the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Vanessa likes challenges in life. They did not hesitate when they stumbled upon Pension Edlinger that they bought in the summer of 2018. With the bus stop right in front of Pension Edlinger’s B&B, located in the city center, you will have easy access to the Ankogel mountain top and ski slopes, just 5 minutes away. Nationalpark Hohe Tauern Within a few minutes you are in Hohe Tauern. Here you can enjoy great walking and mountainbike trails. Dösental, Seebachtal and Tauerntal are just a few areas which you want to explore. Alpe-Adria-Trail - Etappe 7: Mallnitz - Obervellach Two spectacular gorges and a historic village center from the gold mining period await you on this walking stage in the Hohe Tauern National Park in the Goldberg Group in Carinthia. The varied tour from Mallnitz to Obervellach delights with natural and cultural landscape. The highlight of the stage is the picturesque Stappitzer See. Ski Areas In winter the famous Angkogel offers you plenty of skiing leisure. The longest and most snow-sure ski run in Carinthia, a varied freeride terrain with runs up to 1,600 meters in altitude and an ideal beginner area with a cheaper day pass in the valley area at the Köfelelift. The Mölltal Glacier is only 20 min drive by car.
