Not too busy area, the beach is never overly crowded, even during the high season. Street parking nearby is normally quite easy. The Raversyde natural park is a very nice walking/biking area which is accessible one street down in the Duinenstraat (coming from the studio, take the first street to the right). Further along the Duinenstraat you'll find the entrance to the Raversyde Domain with its bunkers from WWI (Atlantikwall). Anno 1465 shows you a fishermen's village of that era and is also part of the Raversyde Domain. See www.raversyde. be/en (remove space before be) for more details. The stretch of beach right in front of the studio is guarded by life guards during the summer. There's a slide for kids to enter the beach and a 2-piece playground set for them to enjoy. There are a few restaurants in the near vicinity, but of course a vast array of choice is available to you in the nearby towns of Ostend and Middelkerke (or further along). Both can be easily reached by means of the tramway which has a halt at 50m from the studio. The tram can also easily take you to Plopsaland De Panne, a theme park enjoyable for both kids and adults.
