Alpine Haus is a renovated antique period 4.5-room apartment in the heart of the Swiss Alps, just ten minutes from the popular resort of Andermatt.  The apartment occupies the whole of the 2nd floor in a 3-apartment village house built in 1905. Contemporary design meets antique period features in this unique three double bedroom apartment.  With a cosy wood-burning stove, large comfortable sofas and wood-panelled walls the living room is a warm and inviting place to relax. Smart TV for Netflix (no local channels), free wifi and wood for the stove are also provided. King size beds have crisp white linens and warm hypoallergenic duvets/pillows and each room has views up into the surrounding dramatic landscape.  The small bathroom has a shower fitting plus short but deep bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day skiing or hiking. The Kitchen/dining room was renovated in 2024 and is equipped with a Nespresso machine, fridge, oven, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and underfloor heating. It seats 6 for dinner - indulge in a traditional raclette or fondue for the full Swiss experience! There is a boot room downstairs in the cellar to store your skis, boards or bikes. The local Coop shop is a 1-minute walk away. Parking is approximately CHF8 per day. Electric car charging nearby.

Welcome to our mountain retreat!  If you love winter sports and mountain adventures then you'll love it here in Göschenen at our Alpine Haus.  In the winter we like to ski across the vast resort of Andermatt-Sedrun, and in the warmer months, we enjoy mountain biking and hiking with our two boys. Our favourite hike is up at GöschenenAlp around the glacier which is a 15-minute drive from the apartment. We live locally, but you'll have the whole apartment to yourself - enjoy the tranquillity of this beautiful part of Switzerland.

The tranquil village of Göschenen is just 10 minutes away from the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun, the largest ski area in central Switzerland. The traditional cog-wheel Matterhorn Gotthard Railway connects Andermatt to Göschenen and is a wonderful experience with breathtaking views over the Schöllenen Gorge and direct access to the Andermatt-Gütsch gondola lift. Lake Göschenen is a paradise for alpine hikers and climbers who will find granite walls, wild flora and untouched nature. Whether you like climbing or photography, the thrills of freestyle skiing or family sledging - this mountain village is perfectly placed to explore the many wonders of the alps.
