Fiescheralp is located in the Swiss canton of Valais and lies at an elevation of 2212 m above sea level. Formerly known as Kühboden, it belongs to the community of Fiesch and is part of the car-free zone of Aletschplateau, such as Bettmeralp and Riederalp. Moreover, Fiescheralp lies in the mountains of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn region, which has been UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. The village can be reached via Fiesch - Eggishorn aerial tramway (difference of elevation: 1162 m). Fiescheralp lies at the foot of the Eggishorn, in the middle of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.
