Located in the city centre next to the small Suze canal and the pedestrianised shopping zone, the Mercure Biel hotel is easily reachable on foot from the main station. The rooms provide a private bathroom, a minibar and a hairdryer. The hotel offers free access to the sauna and fitness area on the top floor. All rooms are air-conditioned and have free WiFi. Biel is situated approximately 90 minutes from the international airport of Zurich and Geneva. Bern is just a 30-minute drive away. All these airports are reachable by direct trains from Biel station, which is only a 10-minute walk away from the hotel. The 3 lakes region (Lake of Biel, Lake of Murten and Lake of Neuenburg) with its countless vineyards is popular for cruises, bike tours and hiking holidays.
