I enjoy spending time in nature, going on hikes, and visiting unique and unusual places. From time to time, it feels great to disconnect from the everyday routine and retreat into the heart of nature. I have roots in Viljandi County, have spent more than half of my life living in the countryside, and I’m a country soul at heart – and proud of it. That’s exactly why we’ve created a zen retreat accommodation complex in the midst of pristine nature – a place to recharge. Luigepesa is surrounded by bogs and wetlands, which is why we recommend visiting some of the following nearby places: Pihlaka Quarry – 1 km A former sand quarry no longer in active use, with stunning blue water that attracts swimmers and fishing enthusiasts. Soosaare Peat Deposit – 1 km An area historically used for peat extraction, now part of the local natural landscape. Parika Observation Tower – 11 km Located on the edge of Parika Bog, this tower offers scenic views over the bog and the lake. The hiking trail starts just a few hundred meters from the main road. Soosaare Bog – 15 km A hidden, private bog known mostly to locals. For directions on how to access it, please ask your host. Parika Lake Hiking Trail – 21 km A 3 km trail along the shores of Parika Lake, perfect for a quick walk and birdwatching. Parika Lake is famous for its heart-shaped bog lake. The wide woodchip path is also suitable for people with limited mobility. Kuningamäe Karting Centre – 23 km Located just outside Põltsamaa, this is Estonia’s first race track, fully renovated in 2023. The 860-meter-long Kuningamäe track delivers high speeds and adrenaline, offering a thrilling challenge for visitors.
