The 50 hectares of vineyards, under the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, are planted at 400 meters above sea level, surrounded by 300 hectares of stunning natural landscape. The entire estate is certified organic (Agriculture Biologique). Wine production has been mastered here for four generations, from the vines to the cellar, bottling, and marketing — making this estate truly authentic. Château Barbebelle is also a charming place to live, hosting concerts in the park, maintaining an organic vegetable garden, a pétanque court, and offering beautifully renovated houses for rent by the weekend or week, all overlooking the vineyards. Since 2025, Château Barbebelle has also welcomed weddings and private events at the heart of the property, surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields. - Parties and tranquility: Parties and events are not allowed. Please respect the neighbors and the peace of the estate. The owners live on-site. - Child safety: All children are welcome! However, please note that the house has stairs and it is not possible to install a safety gate. Two fountains are located a few meters from the entrance to the estate. Their depth is limited, but children remain under your full responsibility. Please always supervise your children during your stay. - A living wine estate: You will be staying in the heart of an authentic working vineyard. The environment is generally very peaceful and perfect for rest, but as on any agricultural estate, you may occasionally see a tractor, machine, or vehicle used for vineyard work. This is part of the charm and authenticity of the property. - The animals on the estate: The property is also home to several animals: Three friendly dogs, who you may see from time to time with their owners Chickens, ponies, and horses, all living in their designated areas Nearby: About 15 minutes away by car, you’ll find a freshwater swimming spot (paid access) that’s perfect for family outings.
