We renovated three barns on our property which were finished in 2017. The Granary has two double bedrooms on separate floors, one with en-suite bath and one with en-suite shower and balcony. This gite is very spacious having separate lounge and kitchen dining area. The Stable is more compact but has ample room. There is one double bedroom with balcony and en-suite bathroom. Downstairs is a lounge diner leading to separate kitchen. The Cave is, as the name suggests, a renovated wine cellar. The lower floor is open plan with kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one twin and one double and a shower room. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with over bath shower. This room has an annexed sitting area which is useful if two couples are sharing and includes a sofa bed for occasional use.
We bought our french house in 2002 and carried out the renovations and conversions in our spare time until we retired. Having more time available we completed the gites and offered them for holidays. We love having people to stay which makes all the hard work worthwhile.
We love this area. It is in the heart of rural france and when the sunflowers are in bloom the colours are fantastic. The village is within an hours drive from many of the the chateaux that the Loire valley is famous for. There are vineyards to visit and good walking or cycling countryside to discover.
