A few doors down is a Tesco Express that’s open 7am to 11pm, and the bus that gets you to Hammersmith in four minutes. Earl’s Court is a 10-minute walk; Hyde Park is twenty. A quick stroll gets you to Parson's Green and the Thames. Fulham Broadway tube station (recognize it from “Sliding Doors”?) is a five-minute walk. From there it’s just a 10-minute ride to the West End + London’s best museums and galleries. Heathrow is 23 minutes by cab, 45 minutes by tube. Fulham is a small community with a multinational atmosphere; it’s safe and energetic with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Elvis Costello spent part of his youth there; he’s one of several pop artists to celebrate Fulham in their lyrics. To the right of the flat is a pub called “Captain Cook” that serves tapas from midday to 10 pm. To the left a few yards from the flat is a cafe called “Vanilla Bean” it serves delicious breakfast and food until 5 pm daily.
