Hello - we’re Sarah & Ed 👋 We live here in Ryde with our son and our little dog Roo, and we love welcoming guests to the Island we’ve both grown up on. We built The Cabana ourselves to create a calm, beautifully designed hideaway near the sea - somewhere to slow down, sleep well and enjoy a touch of luxury in a small space. We offer self check-in for full privacy, but we’re always nearby if you’d like recommendations for cafés, walks, paddleboarding, hidden beaches or great places to eat. You’ll also receive our digital guidebook with all our favourite local finds. We hope you’ll feel instantly at home.

Ryde is a lively seaside town with independent cafés, boutiques, galleries and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The beach is wide, sandy and safe for swimming - perfect for long walks, picnics, paddleboarding or simply watching the waves. Sunrise coffee in the garden, sunset at the water’s edge - both effortless from our location. There’s SUP and kayak rental, cycling routes, wild swimming spots, arcades, mini-golf and bowling nearby, along with excellent bus and ferry links for exploring the Isle of Wight. In summer the town buzzes with events; in winter it’s peaceful and great for coastal walks. A brilliant base for exploring - and a cosy place to return to.
