We, Ian and Julia, have always loved the sea and Weymouth in particular has always been a special place for us. In 2017 we decided that instead of talking about how lovely it would be to run a guesthouse on the coast we'd actually do it. We spend our spare time exploring the coastline and beyond - Dorset is an incredible county and offers breathtaking views and scenery which ever part you choose to explore. We're passionate about where we live and we love sharing our knowledge of what Weymouth and Dorset has to offer with our guests. It matters to us that our guests enjoy their time here at Whitecliff and we work hard to ensure they are comfortable and well fed in the morning before setting off for the day. We're always happy when we receive positive feedback and many guests choose to return to us time and again. Please note that pets live on the property.

Our beautiful family run Georgian Guesthouse is full of character and is located right next to the beautiful beach at Weymouth. It is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful county of Dorset including the famous Jurassic Coastline as well as enjoying the wonderful town of Weymouth with its wonderful array of award winning restaurants, clean beach and busy harbour. Our individually decorated guest rooms are comfortable and cozy with small en suite shower rooms, tea/coffee making facilities, tvs, hairdryers, daily servicing, towels, bathroom toiletries, free wifi and the price includes a freshly cooked breakfast downstairs in our welcoming breakfast room overlooking the sea. The sea view rooms offer uninterrupted views over Weymouth Bay, towards the Purbeck Hills and the Jurassic Coastline. Before selecting your room, please ensure it suits your needs. All rooms are only accessible by stairs and some do not have sea views. We are happy to cater for large groups of friends and family. The South West Coast path goes right past our front door and is a great base for exploring the incredible Dorset coastline and countryside. We have installed Key Safe boxes in the lobby so you can check in any time (with prior notice) if you want to arrive early or later than our usual check in time. We offer a freshly cooked breakfast to suit your appetite - from a Full English breakfast to lighter options - using locally sourced Dorset ingredients wherever possible. Our bacon and sausages come from our local butcher and our Farm Eggs are delivered weekly. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific dietary requirements. The beach is literally a few yards from our front door; town is a level 10 minute walk away as is the train station and various bus stops, so public transport makes it an achievable option to leave your car at home. We look forward to welcoming you to our home by the sea.

Weymouth is a town with a lot of history, from medieval times to more recently when it was one of the host towns for the 2012 Olympics. The beach is one of the safest and cleanest in England and offers families and travellers of all ages something to enjoy - from just relaxing on the beach, sampling the local ice cream or taking part in the many watersports on offer nearby, or walking along this part of the South West Coast path and exploring the stunning Jurassic Coast. The harbour and town offer an incredible choice of fabulous restaurants, pubs and cafes, many overlooking the sea or harbour area. There's lots to do in the town and it's also a great base from which to explore the world famous Isle of Purbeck and Jurassic Coast. There are plenty of watersports to take part in in Weymouth if you fancy a go, or there are the beautiful quiet nature reserves nearby to explore at Lodmoor and Radipole. Weymouth usually has lots of events on throughout the year and the Pavillion on the harbour has plenty of live shows on offer - the Christmas pantomime is a must see!!!
