We are on Via Gaetano Capone, an internal residential and safe street 2–3 minutes’ walk from the seafront and the long beach of Maiori. Within a 300 m radius: supermarket, grocery, bakery, pharmacy, ATM, newsstand, ice cream bar, restaurants and pizzerias. Ideal also for business travelers. The area is comfortable and quiet: in the evening you stroll among palm trees and seaside venues; during the day it’s perfect for families thanks to long stretches of free beach and equipped lidos. From the port you admire the lights of the coast; the Norman Tower dominates the end of the town. What to see on foot: Lungomare Amendola; the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare with its majolica dome; the Sentiero dei Limoni towards Minori (about 1 hour, easy, through terraced lemon groves); for wider views, the Castle of San Nicola de Thoro‑Plano; for trekking, the Sanctuary of the Avvocata. In nearby Minori, the pastry shop Sal De Riso is a sweet stop. Distances and connections: Amalfi 5 km/10–15 min, Atrani 10 min, Ravello ~20 min, Positano ~1 h; Cetara and Vietri sul Mare towards Salerno (~20 km). SITA bus stop a few minutes for Amalfi/Salerno and branches to Ravello and Positano. In season (April–October) from the port there are Travelmar ferries to Amalfi, Positano, Salerno and Capri: a scenic alternative that avoids the traffic on the SS163. Getting here is simple: by train to Salerno and then bus/ferry or taxi; from Naples airport there are shuttles and private transfers. By car, Maiori is reached along the SS163; paid public parking and private garages are in the area. In town you move comfortably on foot; there are taxis and scooter rentals. Local flavours: anchovies from Cetara, daily fish, Gragnano pasta, artisanal limoncello and the famous lemon desserts.
