JamboHouse Lamu is a small guesthouse in Lamu Town. We are not a 5 star resort - we offer budget accommodation with clean rooms and lots of information to make your stay in Lamu as good as possible. We have free wifi internet for our guests. During the day we have free coffee/tea on our terrace. On arrival we serve our guests a Welcome Drink, give them a map of Lamu and plenty of useful information. Two of the rooms have integrated bathrooms, our "budget" room has a private bathroom outside the room (via the corridor) but that bathroom is only for this room (NOT a shared bathroom!)
I live in Lamu since August 2008 and still liking it. Lamu is a fascinating place with unique culture, friendly people, beautiful beaches,... I love traveling.
JamboHouse Lamu is located on one of the highest places in town. From our Top Roof guests have a nice view of Lamu Town, and can see sunrise. JamboHouse Lamu is located three minutes walking from Lamu Fort, five minutes walking from Lamu Museum. The closest (local) shop is just 30 m away.

Please let us know if you are coming to Lamu by bus (which Bus Company & departure time from Mombasa or Malindi) or by plane (which airline & arrival time) so that we can wait for you at the jetty in Mokowe or Lamu or at Manda Airport. Guests only have to pay boat fare for themselves and if they need help with their luggage otherwise we don't charge anything for pick up.
