Few years ago, we found this old vintage house next to the Malacca River. The house was formerly a dental clinic owned by a Shanghai old lady and it has been neglected for some time.We are trying to preserve it as much as possible, therefore the house still has its original parts from hundreds years back like: the original walls, original staircases, woods and wooden beams.This house is best suited for those travellers who can appreciate its quirk and looking for some unique travel experiences: Some are just an old song from the neighbour next door.....Occasionally the scent of the home cook from the neighbour.....Locals who stock pet turtles of the opposite bridge in the evening... This house is located in an alleyway of pre-world war architecture, is an excellent symbol of the migration of the Chinese to Malaya. It is still lined by some of the country's earliest Chinese shophouses,characterised by wooden shutters and staircase. Along the riverside but still very central, just a stone throw away from Stadthuys, Jonker street, Hard Rock Cafe etc. It is very easy to get around when you stay here, everything is just so nearby by walking distance.
