Our Airbnb is the only home in the area that has its own private indoor heated pool that's available to guests 365 days out of the year... perfect for summer AND winter getaways! We're also just a few minute walk from Downtown Ottawa for shopping, food and drink! Or--for some adventure, consider hiking at one of the several local state parks, bring a fishing pole and walk down to the river or make your first jump out of an airplane at Skydive Chicago.
After having lived in my Airbnb for 5 years, I downsized and figured I'd open it up to vacation rentals as it's such a unique property! My goal is to provide a luxury experience for our guests with plenty of amenities... just pack your clothes, food and drink we'd should have just about everything else covered!
My home is located in the Ottawa east side historic district. Construction in the East Side began in 1848, when developer Henry Green built his home there, and continued rapidly through the 19th century; after a brief slowdown at the turn of the century, development continued in the 1910s and 1920s before stopping almost entirely during the Great Depression. The neighborhood was/is one of the most desirable in the city, and Ottawa's upper class built many large homes there; however, it also includes several smaller middle-class houses. The Greek Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne styles are all well-represented in the district's larger and more formal homes, while many vernacular styles can be seen in the smaller homes.
