We are within walking distance of the Goukou River and Lappiesbaai Beach. We live in a beautiful part of Stilbaai. Our house is a friendly, comfortable place. The name of the house is Sitterus and that means come, sit, and relax and that is what we invite you to come and do. Relax! We live on the premises on the top floor of the house, but guests have their own entrances and privacy. We are available if needed. It will be a privilege to have you as our guests. SitteRus is on the eastern side of Stilbaai (the holiday side). Please note that it is about 3km away from the business center of town. The main business center the western side. For some guests, it may be a problem. So we ask nicely, please make sure of the location before you make a booking. We are about 300m walking distance from the river and 900m walking distance from the main beach. Guests are welcome to bring their decoders as a DSTV dish is available. We have wifi and Netflix for the guests. On weekends we only accept a minimum of two nights stay.
We love receiving guests in our beautiful town. We love traveling, meeting new people, and having new experiences. We live on the property with our pets, Lya, Lucca, Peanut, and Marmite. We use our private entrance and will not be in our guests space, but are available if needed.
Although Stilbaai is a quiet little village, we still have lots to do. Walking distance from the house is the river and the sea. Lappiesbaai is a blue flag beach. Here you can swim, walk on the long stretch of beach, tan, kitesurf, kayaking, bodysurf and relax. The river lends itself to swimming, skiing, kayaking, fishing. Behind the house is the Pauline Bohnen Nature Reserve. Near us is the Tuin on the Brak where you find a collection of the flora of this area. On the western side of the river, you find the “visvywers” where you can do some snorkeling. The area offers a place for hiking and bicycling. We have lovely coffee shops and restaurants. One can do gin-, wine-, beer- and cheese tasting. Nearby(about 60 km) is a game lodge where you can see the Big 5. At the info center, you can see how tame eels are fed daily. Come and experience Stilbaai and its people.
