We invite you to stay in the Sun Catcher establishment, where we host a total of three comfortable rooms in our home. Our Solar Off Grid Inverter ensures that we are fully operational during electricity interruptions (load shedding). The house has beautiful sea views from the front which can also be enjoyed from the Shell Room and the Sea View Apartment. Next to the house is a so-called “green area” that is observed from the shared balcony. On request we offer a variety of breakfasts, to which we add some continental touch and a variety of our home-baked German breads and bread rolls. The breakfast is not included in the standard rate. Your stay at the Sun Catcher will be hosted by the owners, Carol and Gert.

Having our own accommodation establishment was our dream since 1991 when we visited Struisbaai for the first time. This dream eventually became a reality after ending our professional careers. It is our vision to create a “feeling at home” focused environment and become known and sought-after as a small B&B establishment where guests feel important and have a satisfied and fulfilled experience during their entire stay. As responsible hosts, we provide the perfect break away for Guests by maintaining a clean, cozy and friendly experience from arrival to departure. We provide a friendly atmosphere and relaxed environment to ensure that our guests will feel welcomed and important. We promote with enthusiasm our wonderful environment and share examples of some of our own favourite places that make Struisbaai and the Overberg our home, to ensure that guests will experience the Western Cape hospitality and generosity to the fullest. We enjoy the interactions with guests from all walks of life and like entertaining them with our breakfast varieties. We also value getting to know our guests a little more during chats in our lounge or the comfortable sunroom.

We are located in Struisbaai, a beautiful coastal settlement in the Overberg region of South Africa's Western Cape Province, which is located just 4 Km from the southernmost tip of Africa and promises plenty of coastal charm. We pride ourselves on the beautiful beach that stretches 14km from Struisbaai to Arniston, which is fantastic for water sports like kayaking, boating, surfing, body boarding, fishing, and kite surfing, as well as shell collecting, beach strolls, and whale watching. The little harbour serves both fishing and ski boats for holidaymakers. With several charming restaurants and pubs, Struisbaai is a fantastic holiday destination.
