Amazing overnight stay at Wineport Lodge for my wife's birthday. Such a unique venue and staff so friendly and helpful. Perfect for a relaxing break. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommend the hot tub as well, whatever the weather!

The Shearwater Hotel is just 20 minutes' drive from Athlone and a 50-minute car journey from Galway. It is close to the marina and the River Suck.

Warm welcome, very helpful and courteous staff. Fantastic room, with very comfortable bed. Lovely location next to the river and just a 10 min walk into town .
