This is a beautiful traditional (restored) Japanese house. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable for two people. The balcony at first floor and patio area with sun loungers to the rear were nice for relaxing at breakfast time and in the afternoon sun after a day out to Mount Aso. The highlight however was the optional barbecue evening meal in the impressive annexe. The host couple were incredibly kind and helpful and the meal was out of this world. The annexe building also has some impressive TV/audio facilities. It was a very memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

All was good! The room was cozy and cute and I had everything I need. I stayed in room 201 and I think it’s perfect for one person. On the day checking out, they arranged a shuttle bus taking me to the bus station. Staff was friendly and nice.

We really enjoyed staying here. Its simple accomodation but comfortable. If the host wants to send you to his favorite restaurant, go for it. Its an experience. The area is beautiful. And while you are here, go for lunch at Leek. A bot to miss mom and pop place.
