It's really exceptional hotel! We loved everything: The service is best we ever received (just as example: every time we asked something by phone from reception, someone came to room just in 2 min). The dinner in hotel is super special, we tried both Japanese and western style. Many portions and all decorated with details and very tasty.. Spa is amazing.... rooms are very nice and for Japan are pretty big (we took twin for kids and comfort for us with beautiful terrase). There are just few hotels in the world to which we plan to get back (we travel a lot ;)), and we would definitely get back to this one!!!

The completely non-smoking Ryokan Matsukaze is just 10-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from JR Matsumoto Train Station. The ryokan offers simply furnished Japanese rooms with futon beds.

Beautiful place in a quaint little village. Perfect place outside the usual tourist areas with good access to the highway to reach other places in the area. Excellent host who genuinely listens and gets back to you with ideas. The house has been beautifully restored with great design elements and furnishings. I loved it all. Delicious food prepared by the family. They even created a specific vegan menu for us! Couldn't recommend it more.
