Wow, this was the best experience in Sri Lanka for us! The room is decent, clean and good, but the hosts make all the difference. We were invited for the birthday of the hostess’s husband, with cake and their complete family. Such a loving family, and the breakfast was 10/10. The resort was perfectly situated right on the beach and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The pool was clean and well maintained and the whole resort felt very safe. The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Everybody at the hotel treated us like friends from the reception staff, to the security and restaurant and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely return as it was a wonderful experience.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay here! The family is incredibly kind and welcoming — from the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed: shampoo, soap, drinking water, and more. It was also spacious, with strong Wi-Fi and a beautiful view over the lake — simply perfect. The quality of this guesthouse is truly unbelievable for the price. We stayed 5 nights in Surf Paradise and enjoyed every minute of it! We slept in the lower room which has a beautiful view over the bay. The room is well equipped with a modern AC, hot shower and a extremely fast WiFi connection. The town has a calm, surfy vibe and is less developed compared to the towns nearby. The bars, guest houses and restaurants are mainly owned by local families. The hosting family made our stay unforgettable; they are extremely social, welcoming, and always in for a chat or joke. They were also well informed about the area and made sure to help us out with every request.

This place was the peaceful tropical paradise that I was looking for. The room was simple but clean ( no bugs!) and with A/c and a large comfortable bed, it was easy to get a good night's sleep. Each room has a large private balcony from which you view the amazing bird life and playful squirrels. The large pool is clean and beautifully refreshing. Nimmie and her family could not be more helpful and attentive. She cooked anything I wanted and always greeted me with a warm smile and a cold beer! When the time came for me to leave she arranged for my transport back to Colombo and to the airport.

We rented the Paolo Suite which was extremely nice. During our time off wandering around we enjoyed laying on the swinging mat and relaxing. The manager and his son were very friendly and gave many helpful tips throughout our stay :)

The best stay we had in Sri Lanka! The room and all the facilities were so comfortable. Room was a bit small but enough to rest, bathroom was enormous and probably the best I've seen in Sri Lanka. The host was very attentive, he welcomed us with fruit from his own garden - lovely!
